Do slate pool tables warp?

i just want to know if i buy a 3 peice 3/4 inch slate pool table will it last a life time

we have a slate table & yes ours is over 30 yrs & its fine except now some insects are nibbling at it but its so heavy to move & we've moved it heaps though

forget the size not the real big one but big enough

they shouldn't warp , that's why they are usually much more expensive because you are paying for quality

if you take care of the table it should last many years. We frequently play on a table that is 40 years old and looks brand new because it has been taken care of

Slate doesn't warp, but the wooden framework might if exposed to moisture.  Dad has a table from the 40's and with new felt, it would look better than the new ones built today.  They'll last a lifetime if you take care of them.

Three piece slate is the only slate which is guaranteed by the slate mines not to warp. So if your looking into buying a pool table make sure it has this.
