  1. A 2000 ford ranger gets 25 mpg.

  2. I have a 2002 Ranger pick-up and average right around 26 to 28 mpg.

  3. depends on whick truck your talking about.

  4. There are a lot of factors involved in "guessing" what kind of gas mileage you'll get in a small truck. I've had several, including, an older Ford Ranger, a Nissan 4X4, and a S-10 quad cab 4X4, and I can assure you, none of them got close to 25 mpg. The old Ranger, a two wheel drive, four speed, carb, 4 cylinder, probably got about 20, the Nissan, about 17 mpg, and the S-10 (V-6 auto), about 15 mpg. If you can't afford the gas at 15-18 mpg, don't buy a truck unless you need it for work and can use it as a tax deduction. There's nothing cool about about cruisin in a gas hog!!
