Do snails fight each other?

If you have 2 snails together in a medium sized container, will they fight each other? (Land Snails)

  3. Snails have only 2 Defensive mechanisms. They let off a very very faint odor which also affects the way they taste to ward off potential threats. And they have a shell.

    Snails are not the type of creatures that can actively fight back. They have no poison that shoots out of their eyeballs, or fangs, or claws. They simply move very slowly, and eat, as well as breed.

    If you want more snails however. Put them together. and wait a while they will undoubtedly mate and produce eggs which will later hatch into small snaily slimy things.

  4. Mostly likely, if they meet, they'll mate with each other instead.

    Snails are hemaphrodites (each snail being BOTH male and female), and when they mate, they fertilize each others' eggs. Both become the "fathers" of the other's offspring, and both are pregnant.

    Pretty kinky, huh?
