Do some Christians mark my answers down because I am black or because I am an atheist, or both?

It doesnt matter if I give a well thought anwer, I still get the thumbs down.

Do people automatically mark another person down because they share a different view, or maybe because that person is of a different race?

Don't think 90% of the population dislikes blacks but that's my opinion.  If we have Jesus in our hearts we will not dislike someone just because they are another race.

I was brought up in an all-white school and church and neighborhood because my mother wanted it that way.  She wanted to make sure her daughters (3) would not marry blacks.  So, that just made up curious in a way.  My little sister was seen climbing out the window.  My mom looked outside to see who she was meeting.  Turned out to be a black man in a car.  This is the type of thing my mom would freak out about, but....   just saying that to show that the older generation had these thoughts and how we were brought up.

That happens to me too. I give what i think is a perfectly reasonable well thought out non judgemental non offensive answer, and I always state that I'm atheist, and i still get the thumbs down. And that must be what it is. But I couldnt guess in your case whether your race comes into it or not. Nothing would surprise me though!

For the record, i never give thumbs down, because I dont want to hide any answers, and im interested to see how they were rated.

Neither being atheist or having any faith nor does the color of ones skin matter.

I get thumb downs all the time.

A lot of times I think it is simply because I have an opinion that does not match someone thinks everyone else should believe.

I also see a lot of thumb-downs to other peoples answers that just don’t seem that they should be objectionable, especially when the answer is to a fact based question and not an opinion.

At the same time I have see a lot of thumb-ups on answers that are so far off topic it is not even funny.

Then there is the possibility, that some people might be doing is thumb-down responses they have read since doing that hides the answer making it easier to see the new answers.  

The last possibility I suspect happens is that there are people that just go though the list giving thumb-ups to everyone regardless of their answer and others that go the list giving thumbs-down to everyone.

But ultimately the only person that knows for sure way they marked the question the way they did is the person that did it.

Just my opinion.

yes to both. BECAUSE most christians are white and can't stand that their ""WHITE"" god would have a kid with a black girl 2000 years ago.

and expect them to worship him today as is or was, what ever.

I'm sure some do but I've just had a look through your answers and can't really see that many thumbs down, no more probably less than what what most people get in the R&S section.

I get the thumbs down everytime I ask a question or comment on anything too and I'm white!  Doesn't matter hown intelligent the answer, I still get accused of being bitter and spreading hate and they chuck some piece of meaningless scripture at me or say they'll pray for me!

I wouldn't worry about it dude as if there even was a God he'd be agreeing with the Athiests right now and condemning the Christians!
