  1. yes they do they are just like human,if they don't like something they won't eat,if they are sad they won't eat.if they are not feeling well they won't eat.many reasons but the bottom line is yes they can have eating disorders.

  2. Yup. I think so

  3. Yes, they do, in some sense. But you wouldn't see a dog sticking it's paw down it's throat, with dreams of being skinny. Animals will sometimes refuse to eat, or eat things that do make them throw up. But it is usually because something is bothering them physically, like they don't feel well.

Animals are very good at hiding their illness until moments before death. It's a tactic that is used in the wild to try and show predators that they aren't actually sick, or they'll get picked off easy. So, when you see your pet throwing up or refusing to eat, something could be wrong with it. You can't deny it by saying, 'well he's not showing any sign of illness.'

  4. Yes, I've seen some dogs with an eating disorder. I assume they have different or messed up taste buds just like some humans.

  5. Not in the way humans have eating disorders.

Our family raises Guide Dog puppies, and one when it was sent back to the school was refusing to eat. He also ended up having a medical problem (not related to not eating) so we had the chance to keep him. When he got back home he was so skinny, but he started eating again and got better.
