  1. Can't imagine what you are hitting that will dent a graphite driver. I know the Steelheads by Calloway won't dent. I know the irons by Titleist will dent when you hit a buried rock in a sand bunker. So the answer should be " It all depends on what you hit with the club".

  2. Forged clubs tend to be softer that clubs that are cast.  For example, I play Mizuno irons (and probably always will until another company uses a similar forging process) which are known for their soft feel.  However, with soft feel comes a soft club as well.  They get dinged a lot from ordinary "bag clatter".  I will most certainly have to buy a new set of irons before someone who purchased a set as the same time as me due to this.  Oh well,...there is no such thing as a free lunch.  What you gain in on aspect, you will often lose in another aspect.

  3. Shafts and clubheads sometimes snap off the club, or in your case, dent.

  4. Unless you hit them really hard on the ground or on a hard object. I have a dunlop driver and it has a huge dent at the bottom from when i hir the ground to hard. So yes the club does make a differnce
