Do some of the fans in Jr. nation deter you from cheering for dale jr?

Listen I'm a die hard Jr fan and I always try to give respect to all the fans of other drivers because they deserve it! Yes I agree that some of the Jr fans go over board but I hate being classified in that group but I also hate for people to bash on Jr for no reason and I always stand up for my driver!! I know Jr hasn't won in awhile but I'm loyal and I plan on staying that way and I'll keep having faith that he'll win!! As for the ones who give Jr Nation a bad name I wish they'd grow up!! cause you can be a fan (and a loyal, true, one at that) and not cause trouble!!  Go Jr!!!!!

Nope. I think a large number of them are just ranting fools, but I would be ok with seeing him win. I don't cheer for my driver because of his sponsor I don't cheer because my driver has lots of fans, because he's popular or unpopular..... I cheer for the driver because of who he is and how he drives. Period. Stupid fans don't deter me.

I like Jr, nice guy, good driver, he has a legacy being the son and grandson of drivers.  I have a hard time cheering for him because of some---definitely not all-- of his fans.  I get tired of hearing how everyone else is cheating, or nascar is overlooking something, or he's getting inferior equipment, etc.  I'm also disgusted by the beer can throwing.  I know it's not just Jr fans, but since Jeff broke Sr's record last year, it seems that it's just getting worse.

Dale will get into the winner's circle, probably sooner rather than later, and I'll be happy for him when he does.

some jr fans give us all a bad name, theres the stereotypical jr fans that alot of you know, the ones who always make excuses for jr, wish kyle busch would get hit by a train, and throw beer at people who win a race if they dont like them. please understand that not all of us are like that, i respect all drivers (including kyle busch) and would never throw things like coolers or beer at a driver who wins a race just because i dont like them, and i try my best not to make excuses for jr :)

Nope! I an a JR Fan as well as many other such as Burton, Johnson, Khane, Stewart, Kurt and Kyle..I pull for all of them, does that make me an have attitude, I think not, I am a FAN and no matter who is ahead of who, I am pulling for all of them and may the best one Win!

I go to many races and it is not just the JR Fans acting out I can assure you of that, but no matter who you , me or any other Fan is pulling for you going to have bad apples in the bunch..deal with it..it's  just racing..and NO ONE will ever tell me that I cannot pull for my driver(s)....I am a REAL FAN!!!!!!!!

Yes, I really like Dale Jr. He is really a good guy. But I couldn't be a full time fan because I don't want to be grouped with the the majority of his fans. Most of them still have that middle school mind set where "pull my finger" is their best pick up line and the mullet never went out of style.

Yes...it really isn't Dale Jr.  that I don't care for...it's his fans!!

I got to meet his dad twice...and that was great.   So that made me a fan of Jr.'s by default. Now since he went with Hendricks I just see him as another driver out there. A good one...most times...not a great one.   I just enjoy racing and sometimes don't care who wins.

Some do, some don't.  The ones that became Jr fans while he was in the Busch (now Nationwide) series, I can deal with.

The ones who became Jr fans just because they were Dale Sr fans are the ones that are hard to deal with because they're trying to make the kid out to be something he never will be.  Not that they think he'll be anything close to what his dad was but they actually think he's going to win championships <<--- notice the "s".

Then there are others who fell victim to the media FORCING Jr down our throats.  I don't know how many races over the past several years where TV will show the #8 or now the #88 riding around in 25th place instead of showing the leaders or cars running up front.  Who cares which driver is in 25th place?  We can see the run down list at the top of the screen.  If we want to see our driver that's running in 25th place, we'll wait until he's being lapped by the leaders.  Goodness knows that's how I've watched my man Ken Schrader for the last 10 to 15 years.

It's easy to pull for Jr - everybody else does so why not jump on the wagon?  I've always tried to go with someone because it's my decision.  The ONLY reason I'm TRYING to like Kyle Busch is because of what Hendrick did to him.  THAT was dirty pool.  I bet Kyle & Joe Gibbs get a good laugh at that decision several times this season - at least 4!

I've never had anything against Jr. or most of his fans, the beer throwing knuckleheads unfortunately make all of them look bad, but for the most part they're just like any other fans, I'm not a Jr. fan, but I'm not a hater, of him or his fans.

that's true of most any driver's fans.  junior nation is just much larger than most fan bases, so the number of bad apples in the bunch is going to be larger (statistically).  same with rowdy's fans, especially a lot of his newer fans this year.  i'm a long time fan of both of the busch brothers (they were the hometown boys when i first really got into nascar in vegas years ago) and sometimes these new wannabe "fans" who have no respect for others make me want to quit cheering altogether.  

then i remember that i'm not watching the races for the fans, i'm watching them for my favorite driver(s). so those "fans" as they like to think they are, can continue to have bad attitudes.  no skin off my nose.

and to answer your question directly - no, no fan of any driver, including my own, has that power, nor would i give it to them.  i will cheer for whomever i like, and that i happen to cheer for the busch brothers, for junior, for stewart, and others is my prerogative, and i need not ask permission nor forgiveness for doing so.  if you let others dictate your choices, my friend, you will end up with really unsatisfying results in the end..

Absolutely not.  I am a proud member of Jr. Nation a HUGE fan.  I will root loud and proud for Junior.  What excuses are made?  He hasn't won we know that but still no excuses are needed he is 3rd in points doncha know.  

Racing as in life itself has some bad apples but that doesn't mean we all deserve to be grouped with that stereotypical title.  The jerks are few the good folks like myself and many of the fans that visit this forum regularly are the majority.  Every driver has fans with attitude it's normal.  Like it or not we are passionate about our teams and that is a good thing....it keeps me pumped up and I love that feeling!
