And what is the difference?

If you've messed up in the past but learnt from it - fine

But how come some people mess up ALL THEIR LIVES - and NEVER learn? I don't get it!!

  1. it could be possible that they

are blaming others for their misfortune.

the difference is that for the person who did learn-

is less than likely to repeat their mistakes.

And im sure you can guess is would be the exact

opposite for the one who didn't learn.

  2. Sometimes it's a matter of pride.  If they can't ever admit that they had a problem, they can't recognize a solution to the problem. Some people are going to keep making the same mistakes again and again, until the universe acknowledges that they're right.  With other people, they never examine their lives and honestly evaluate how well they're doing or have done. It amounts to pride also, because you have to be honest with yourself to see yourself realistically.

  3. Well that's that you can't expect everyone to be same.

  4. Good judgment is a complex subject.  It is derived from the interaction of your experiences and others' experiences.

  5. You have to be willing to admit you made the mistake AND

you have to be willing to learn

    Most people can't do either.

  6. I made a mistake once, I was very young, and I really liked a guy, I liked when he kissed me, I was 14, and my brother was very angry, he yelled at me and insulted me, because of that, instead of stopping seeing the guy, I kept seeing him, because I didn't know that there was anything wrong with what I was doing, I wasn't having s*x with the guy (who was my age), and my brother instead of explaining to me , was insulting me, so I learnt nothing from that. Later in my life, that's when I realized that it was a mistake because the guy didn't love me...

  7. well, frequently, those who don't learn, eventually reach Darwin Award status..

  8. I think all people learn, but its what level their head is at. What if some one mess's their life up and keeps doing the same old routine until they are 55 years old, and then realise the error of their ways - They have been in the same routine for that long, its breaking the habit of a live time. Plus they will probably think - Everybody expects them to act like that so they carry on acting the same old way. When people mess up their liefs they usually have friends, associates what helps them mess up. If they keep going back to the same people they will keep messing up.

I think when people start feeling guilty for past mistakes that's when they are learning, but they have to move on from this or the guilt will put them back where they were !!
