  1. I don't personally know of anyone who has done this, but in light of the dishonesty in the world, I'd say it probably happens.


  2. h**l yes they do. Why do you think that ghetto pimp hoochie is dragging her butt to school in a new car is doing? Full financial aid, a new car, extensions and 2 ho phones. Gimme a break.

  3. Unfortunately, it definitely happens. It's like taxes...people lie about how much they have or how much they make to avoid paying taxes. People will go to great lengths to do things that benefit them personally even if they are illegal or immoral.

    It is a dangerous thing to do, however. If you get caught you can face stiff penalties and in some colleges you could even be expelled. Many schools have an honor code or code of ethics, and lying about your financial situation to get more financial aid would clearly violate a reasonable code of ethics.
