  1. maybe so she can reword the same Q for the 18th time today

Didnt even see it Roze...sure it made it to the main board?

  2. I don't know, but if I delete my questions it is because I know it will be deleted by Y!A eventually. I'd much rather do it myself rather than have them take 10 points away.

  3. Sometimes Yahoo deletes the questions not the person...you can't really tell the difference.  Basically people can only speak for themselves or their paranoia in this regard.

On top of that, I don't think getting 'Best Answer' is why I come here honestly - and I don't lose a lot of sleep when I don't get it.

  4. I think it's something else, more to do with their self confidence.  I mean, he/she can pick the best answer, so "the enemy" is not likely to win.

    Answer mine...

  5. Even if Object of Its Ire gave the best answer, I would award it.

I only remove Qs in a preemptive move to avoid losing 10 points, but only after it got enough visibility to have made my point.

  6. No, the report monkeys get to them first.  Then Yahoo deletes them.

Aoi Roze ( Blue Rose) congrats!

  7. Maybe Elf, but the person can pick who gets the best answer if they just follow it.  Perhaps they do not want to be associated with a particular person at all I guess, but still this is a free and open forum, other than Yahoo's rules, so it seems a bit extreme to me.

Aoi, I missed a lot tonight as I had a long and very emotionally draining call.  I would love to see your pictures.  Write to me and will send my email.

  8. EDIT: Blue Rose, I didn't see that question and I would definitely have looked at your niece, I'm sure a lot of people would. Most people do say 'hi' to someone's friend or comment on people's photos if they put them on the board ~ why not put it up again so we can see the litle one :-)

I'm absolutely sure this happens, especially when I see people whining about a question they posted a very short time ago being deleted, but they are not interested in the appeals process.

    Cheers :-)

  9. Why are you posting in the gender issue category?  Why do you have enemies?  Why don't you use this site for legitimate questions?

  10. Well, if you pay attention you can always pick your own best answer.  It only  goes to a vote if you fail to pick on yourself.  I suspect malicious questions get pulled before the violations start to pile up, but stay on long enough for the psycho poster to get a vicarious thrill out of insulting people.

  11. I'm pretty sure it happens for the reason you implicated.  But it also happens because a person doesn't get enough well thought out detailed answers.  I almost deleted the one below because of a lack of thorough answers.

  12. Perhaps.. I think it would be silly if this was the case.

  13. It's possible for the questioner to choose the Best Answer. Do you get five points back if you delete a question?

  14. Yes.

  15. Yeesh, that's petty.

  16. I recently removed one ....all it was was asking if ppl wanted to see pics of my newborn neice..and no one even responded. :(

  17. Who knows why trolls do what they do?  Nothing that goes on inside their heads, or comes out of their mouths, makes any sense at all.
