  1. That's me right there! I'm a waitress and customers aggravate me all the time but i can't really go off on them so I just smile. My co workers can tell when I'm mad but the customers can't. I hear it's not good to do that though cause your holding it all in but so far it's working out ok.

  2. Yes.

  3. Many people, including myself, do.

In fact, sometimes when I'm angry or very annoyed, I smile and even laugh a bit. That makes me even madder! I can't control it.

I assume it's the body's natural way of maintaining regularity. The opposite of a frown is obviously a smile, so it balances out.

  4. Yeah it's kinda one of those things that you learn to do to help keep you from ripping someone's head off.

  5. I think they do.  Sometimes my husband smiles when we are having an argument and then I know he is irritated. lol

  6. smiling is a good stress reliever, so yes.

    And it's aggravated, not agrivated.

  7. yeah my teacher would do that.

  8. Only the Joker.

  9. I do sometimes.. when I am far, far beyond aggravation, I sometimes can't believe how trivial stuff is and I feel a little maniacal.. that might just be me though.

  10. haha oh yeah!  My coach always does that!  Everytime he laughs when I do something im not suppose to consistintely he always laughs.  He said its either that or he'll blow up on us.  So everytime he laughs I know hes pretty fresturated lol.

  11. I like to bare my teeth. See... :D

I also laugh at the idiocy or bombast of my opponent in debates... after all condescending to smile while they get mad just gives the appearance of control and logic while others are ranting, threatening or blustering.

  12. YES!!! it just happens

  13. I do. It's more of a cynical thing, though.

  14. I've been aggravated to the point ... where I just start laughing . at this point I admit to myself ,that sometimes we must just bow to the absurd .

  15. I do that.

I also smile (not intentionally) when something sad or some sort of crisis.  I guess it's a cynical way of hiding my emotions.

    It's strange...it's like a nervous habit.
