  1. i did it for fun when i was a little kid! =]

  2. Hi Amiri,

Yes, there are some really crazy people in Karate who do  take out their aggression - they channel that anger into a "socially acceptable" sport.  I was into Karate for a while, and enjoyed sparring too (but not because I'm crazy - ha, ha)

  3. I don't do martial arts yet, but in about one month I will start. The reason I am doing it, is because I like the style of fighting and I like kicking and all that, I don't do it for self defence at all, thats just a bonus I guess..

I will be doing Taekwondo, by the way.

  4. Martial arts are not really taken by people to enjoy and channel aggression, but they take it to challenge their awareness of the things happening around them. There's something about martial arts that lets you attain a state of mind where you feel you can be anything but vulnerable to the outside forces. In other words, martial arts tweak more than just your physical self.

But that's just my opinion. Personally, I enjoy tae kwon do and other martial arts for the heck of it, even if the training may be hardcore.

  5. I did it to actually get fitter and cus my best friend di it. Now I love it and I fight and everything! I also felt more confident, which was good.

A lot of girls my age gets raped and murdered o_O so my mum was scared and she wanted to learn self defence!

sssh beating up people is actually fun! lol

  6. i do.

  7. Everyone has their reasons.  Some people practice for their health, some do it because their friends do it, and some practice because they love the adrenaline rush of battle or intense training.  And some practice it for the love of the art - the beauty of the human form.  Usually its for many reasons - reasons that entwine with people's past, their childhood, or people that they are or were a part of their lives.  For some, it may just seem like a part of their destiny.  Like a warrior reborn, seeking a path that just fits.

  8. some people do as long as the fight is for competition and is within legal limits you can't learn martial arts and go around knocking people out you could be charged with a crime cause your hands are considered deadly weapons, martial arts offer discipline, good exersice and you learn to avoid confrontations and only use your skills as a last resort to defend you or someone else
