Do some women not want equal rights?

I have found, in Latin America, that a lot of women don't want equal rights. What are your thoughts?

I think that most women want equality.  Like Untamed Rose, I think a more important issues out there, such as allowing women who are capable into combat arms.

HOWEVER, that said, I agree that women should have the choice to go topless in any situation where men are allowed to go topless.  I don't understand some peoples opinions when they think the opposite (although I respect their right to their opinion).  Personally, I do think it is not equal that men are allowed this freedom while women can be arrested for doing the same thing.

That does not mean that I personally want to walk around topless!!  It just means that I simply want the CHOICE.  Sort of like, oh, I don't know, I want to have the CHOICE to work at any job.  I want the CHOICE to be able to try out and (if capable) go into combat arms.  I want to have the CHOICE to be a SAHM.

Most women want equal rights.  It's just that in reality they want more equal rights than men. ;-)

I want equal rights for all people.  I am still a woman, some feminist views, some traditional views.  I feel there are a lot more important issues than going topless.

Yes, it's happened before. Some women are content to live as traditionally as humanly possible, down to the grand old tradition of not having the same rights as men.

Most people don't truly want equal rights, they want superiority for their group under the guise of equal rights. Then the world realizes who they truly are and its too late.

My thoughts are I promise you I won't die with out them and I haven't yet. oh yes being traditional has nothing to do with it and before the advent of feminism women have been making their own choices, as depicted by feminists we have not been mindless robots, nor have we been whipping post that cowered in corners.

It's not that they don't want equal rights it's just that they don't feel like perpetual victims like feminists do.

Maybe they are satisfied with their traditional role in their society. What's wrong with that?

Just because spoiled feminists here aren't satisfied with anything why should other women be disatisfied with everything?

I agree with untamed rose on one thing. Women should be put in combat just like the men. Not alonside me but in combat none the less.

As far as I am aware, women already have equal rights with men, at any rate in western society.  I'm not sure what more 'rights' women are demanding, however there seems to be no end to the complaints of feminists, so I suppose there are still other things they want.

I certainly do not want the right to go topless, which is something I do not think at all desirable.  Women nowadays are always moaning about sexual harrassment, how much more of it do you think there's going to be if women start going around topless?

Look, women's breast are highly sexual to men.  Men's chests do not generally have the same effect on women.  If you cannot see that there is a difference, then I really do not understand why.  I should have thought even a feminist would get it.

Its usally just more easier to conform to what everyone wants you to be.
