  1. I think that law whould be taken away, don't you? I think that the fathers should just buy what the kids need instead of giving money to the cheap, manipuating, controlling b*tches that way they won't waste it on themselves.

  2. my X wife used it for heroine until I got her busted and put in prison and gained custody of my son.

  3. There will always be those women who take advantage of child support. They will use the money for themselves. Not all women are like that though.

  4. There are those that would argue that if she buys groceries then she's spending it on herself because she eats them too.  Realistically, I really don't think it's the end of the world if she buys a little something for herself as long as the child's needs are met.

If she spends $20 getting her nails done once a month and that's her "treat" that makes her feel good and be happy is it really the end of the world?  Now if she's blowing the whole lot on booze or drugs then there's a serious problem but a few bucks here and there for a manicure or ordering pizza instead of cooking or a cab instead of the bus occasionally...I don't think it's a big deal.

  5. does all the money you make go towards your kids or do you spend some on yourself?

  6. Of course. Some men do it too. It's a shame, they care more about buying other things than buying things for the child.

  7. I had to get a bank account that my mother couldn't touch, so he could sent the checks directly to me. I don't know if she actually did use it for other things or if my father was just being vindictive and paranoid, but it's certainly possible.

It's difficult to calculate exactly everything that you buy for a child. Take food for example, how would you divide the grocery bill. As a kid, I only ate brand name foods while my mother ate generic to save money. What about car repairs and gas money? It's the parents car but the kids need it and use it too. Kids ask for money left and right, so it's almost impossible to keep tabs on everything that you spend on a child.

  8. probably.  I didn't - it went directly to the babysitter which enabled me to further support myself and our son.

  9. I've never gotten child support.

However, my children's father used the child support I sent him to buy a guitar. Once, he used it to visit his girlfriend 6 hours away.

  10. my fiance's mother certainly did..

she'd go out gambling with it and buy things for herself and all that. Poor kid never saw a dime of that money go to him.

  11. i'm sure some do. just like i'm sure some men use their work checks for things other than their children or family

  12. "some" women :p ? It depends on how much child support is avaiable. If it is bairely to feed and clothe the child and is gone after rent I suppose no, but if there is enough child support to go around, say 2000+, then yes, after feeding and clothing the kid the money goes to and stays with mum.

Here is a tip dont marry a ho or la belle dame sens and you wont have to worry about child support.

  13. Well I don't get child support so I can't really answer this.

But yes some do use it for other things a man at work has an ex who uses it for vacations with her BF. and other things.

This is a reason a lot of people don't like single mom's they think ALL single moms are like that. and they are NOT.

Many fathers are getting child support but many times they never see any payment. it's hard to make ends meet when your child outgrows everything all the time.

Maybe if the Government would stay the h**l out of it and let the parents decide how much support they need and let THEM work it out. maybe that would be better but then maybe not. No easy answers here wish there was. God Bless

  14. " some" women probably do.

  15. I have an ex-boyfriend who has a 7 year old daughter. Because of his level of income, he paid about $700.00 a  month in child support.

His daughter would come over on the days that he was allowed to spend with her. Her clothes would often be ripped. Her hair was almost always in a mess. Her shoes were worn out.

On a budget of $700.00 a month, don't you think that the mother could have purchased new shoes for the child? Don't you think it's inappropriate to have the child looking like she's homeless? I sure do. Here's the funny part: The mother ALWAYS had fake nails done. Her hair was always immaculately done (with weave) and she had a Chanel purse and stellar clothes. It was a very sad sight.

Of course not ALL women abuse child support, but there's LOTS who do. This is another reason that immature people should not have children. This is one reason that I think men are discriminated against. In many cases, it should be the fathers who have custody of the children so they can see that the child support is going to the child. More and more mothers are becoming useless at looking after children and completely incompetent when it comes to budgeting and looking after their children's needs before their own.

  16. Unless the dollar bills have child support written on them, when you put them with the rest of the money, they become untraceable.

The primary custodian has to have a larger house for the children, a larger more expensive car, and there are more gasoline expenses that come from driving the kids to their activities.  This question implies that women always get primary custody, which is wrong, and implies and incredible lack of insight as to how incredibly expensive children really are.

The fact is that, although the non-custodial parent only pays 20% of their salary on the children, the custodial parent usually pays 30-50% of their income on the children.  Most men know that they would spend more money if they have custody, and that is why they never ask for custody.  They are also more selfish about their time, and are more interested in finding their next s*x partner.

  17. I am sure some do and I have recently witnessed such an incidence.  The mother in this situation received $965 a month for one child as per the child support order.  There were claims of neglect directed towards the mother and upon further investigation it was confirmed that the child wasn't even receiving the most basic medical attention.  The father of this child provided insurance coverage in addition to the monetary contribution.  The co-pay for a physicians appointment was $35 and the child had not even received a check up in 3 years.  Apparently the mother couldn't afford the co-pay but she could afford breast augmentation and several cruises.  One must wonder, where did that child support go?

  18. yes some do. some use it for their own stuff and some use it to actually pay bills and buy food and stuff.

  19. Well, considering the average child support in the U.S. is $250 per month, I'm sure most women use that staggering amount to buy themselves yachts.

  20. Absolutely.  My personal opinion is that rather than a check individuals receiving child support payments should be issued coupons to be used on specific items such as food and clothing.  Same goes for money paid for daycare.  The individual collecting should receive a coupon that is presented to the daycare center.  There should be no complaint about a system like this.  Any resistance would be the result of people who have been abusing their children's child support frowning upon their inability to do so any longer.

  21. Well my husbands mother never used it on him thats for sure! Her nails and hair obviously to her were FAR more important. ..

  22. Oh, I think it's quite well known that the majority do, it's laughable to suggest otherwise, almost insulting LOL.

It's like wondering how the over-rated Reggie Bush 2005 Heissman winner managed to lived like a king whilst at USC attending college fulltime and playing Football.  Perhaps there was some sports agents courting him with vast sums of money to line his pockets (knowing full well what a huge return they'd get on they're "illegal" investment).  Awfully plausible theory.
