how the Strong and Weak linebackers switch depending on strong side do safeties do that

  1. It depends on the coverage you&#039;re in. In cover 3, the strong safety normally goes to the strong side and free safety stays in the middle. In cover 2 the safeties have to take sides. Normally the strong safety would go to the strong side because he is a run stopper. In cover 4 you might put the free safety to the strong side because there are more receivers on that side and he is a better cover man. As the other answer said, it really depends on your coaches and your system. You try to put your best players in a position to make plays.

    It depends on the coverage. safeties have different responsibilities in different coverage schemes. in zone defenses it wouldn&#039;t really matter where they line up so long as they end up in their zone.

    schemes that blitz a lot usually line up with one safety deep and the other on the line.  

  3. Normally yes, but once again, it is whatever the coach tells you to do
