Sparks is a caffeinated alcohol beverage, one of the first such beverages. Its active ingredients caffeine, taurine, ginseng and guarana are common to energy drinks; however, its additional focus on alcohol is not. Its packaging states a 6% alcoholic content by volume.

Different individuals have different tolerances to alcohol, some individuals being able to assimilate alcohol better than others.  A can of Sparks contains 12 ounces of fluid.  So, if drinking four cans of beer (which can contain about 5% to 7 % alcohol per can) makes you drunk, then four cans of Sparks can get you drunk.
