Question:

Do speaker covers rattle?

I recently replaced my stock speakers with new 300 watt after market speakers. But it seems like the plastic covers on them are rattling, or its just the speaker vibrating on the inside? I dont know if its because the tweaters on the speakers press right up against the speaker covers? The speakers sound great except for the occasional vibrating noise.

  1. maybe you didn't tighten them properly, try hitting near the speakers and see if it rattles if id does then tighten them and still no progress use some dynamat

  2. You didn't fit them properly. They have to be fit tight other wise the pressure from the speaker will rattle the cover if it is loose.

  3. make sure they're firmly installed nice and tight you can put some foam like material around the grilles so the car won't rattle

the tweeters have nothing to do with this because they don't rattle vigorously anough to shake anything
