Do special forces have any kind of personal life?

i mean do they get to spend alot of time with their family or have any time off? thanks

  1. Yes, Special Forces are just like any other member of the military when they're not on duty or assignment.

    Granted, they may have to do more things than the average soldier from time to time because of their job descriptions, but that doesn't mean they're robots and are on 24/7. They have time off and get to do things on their own as well.


  2. You actually have more time than some of the guys on Ft Bragg at least. The 82nd guys spent major time in the field where we usually got to come back in. It is easier to get your training in with small groups. You're deployments are also mission specific so that meant shorter call outs.  

  3. They spend as much time as their missions and training permit, there is no need for you to lose any sleep over the issue.

  5. My husband is going threw SF selection right now. I asked a similar question and was told that they do get time off for family. The support channels are better and even when you husband? is gone you should have contact with him in most cases. The deployments are shorter, less draining on the family. But more frequent. Hope this helps!
