  1. Why wouldn't they? Think about what you're asking...Motorists have to follow speed limit laws, but cyclists don't? That's absurd.


  2. Bikes ridden on the roadway have to follow the rules of the road.  Which means not exceeding the speed limits, stopping at stop signs, red lights, etc.  

    This also applies to school zones.

    In areas where bikes are allowed to be ridden on sidewalks - bike are considered pedestrians.

  4. I could be wrong, but I believe cyclists have their own speed limit, I think it's something like 20 mph.

  7. yes,but usually their not enforced, I would have to one steep *** hill for you to break a speed limit

  8. Yes they do, I have a buddy that got a ticket for 35 in a 25.

  9. In California we have to follow the same laws as cars and motorcycles. A friend of mine once got a $275 ticket for riding his bike on the sidewalk. And that's about $270 more than the bike was worth.
