  1. Value? I dare say that no person has any more value than another. I can recognize however that famous people are given much more attention than others. This is no proof that they are more "valuable" than others. Something that should be said is that the reason that famous people are considered so special is because of the attention we give them. If society believes that famous people are of greater value than the average person, we have only ourselves to blame. Our propensity to put people up on pedistools is what has driven us to place value upon ourselves and people around us when in actuality no value system exists. Contrary to Nietzsche's view that not everyone's created equal, you and I are of as just as much "value" or "worth" than these famous people. If we don't like the way that people treat famous persons differently than each of us, then we alone can change that.

  2. I think it is a major problem in the United States. I believe the media is aimed to dumb people down, this way they won't know or care enough to do anything about their situation or stand up for their rights. It is a terrible development! One that needs to be urgently addressed.

  3. In todays culture YES!

    In my own opinion NO!
