Do stars move?or am I crazy?

I know that this sounds stupid, but really do they move because I keep seeing this one star and then later on its gone, its not cloudy or anything that would block my view. Its kind of weird. Please help if you know!

It's not stupid, but aside from rising and setting, much as the Sun does, the stars don't move--certainly not with respect to one another.  (Well, to be sure, they do, but not fast enough to be casually detectable over even a lifetime.)

Where was this star, and when did you see it?  How bright was it?
