Do state congressmen receive a pension for life after serving just one term?

Not only pension, but health care as well, I believe, here in Michigan anyways.  I think THAT is a travesty and should NEVER be.  While we "common folk" toil all our lives for our pensions and enough money for health care, our Politicians are given theirs through OUR TAX  MONEY.  I say if "we common folk" need to "cinch" our belt, so do our Politicians.
