Does anyone think steroids can rreally help you in baseball. They motly only make you stronger. If your a bad hitter your not gonna turn into a great one I thinke they are wrong but they don't really make that much of a difference. Except the ones Barry Bonds took cause they made him see the ball Like an eagle. Tell me what you think.

P.S. Sorry my explanation was long

  1. yes they do b/c even if ur not a good hitter then when you do hit the ball it's gonna go far and you can't say they helped on person like barry bonds but not everyone else they don't make you see the ball any better but once you get a hold of one it's  gonna fly

  2. it does if you are a power hitter like Dave Ortiz

  3. Major League baseball players are playing at that level because they already have developed the hand-eye co-ordination to hit the ball.  Steriods makes them stronger, which enables them to hit it further, which is why so many more home runs were hit for the last 15 years.

Steroids also allow muscles to heal quicker, which helps pitchers as well, because throwing 100 pitches takes a serious toll on your arm.  Steroids allow pitchers arms to get better quicker between each appearance.

So, yes, they make a huge difference.

  4. Steroids did not help Barry Bonds see better.  That doesn't make any sense.  He could already hit very well, just not for as ridiculous power.

    How steroids can help:

----They can help a player heal from injuries or help a pitcher's arm recover between appearances

-----Depending on the type of anabolic steroids, they can make a player faster

------They can make a player stronger and hit with more power

-------They can help a pitcher throw harder

    WHat they can't do:

------Make a player a better fielder

    ------- Make a player a better baserunner

--------Help a player's vision and make him a great hitter

-------Make a useless player into a great one

    --------Help a pitcher's control

  5. steroids make you grow muscle mass... they dont necessarily make you stronger. They also make your eyesight better like you said... so yeah steroids really do help quite a bit depending on which ones you take.

  6. YES! Why do you think the MLB wont allow it. Its not like they all dont do it anyway. Just look at Berry Bonds or Mark Mguire, ( not sure if thats how your spell it ) , or most likely A- rod. Im sure 70 % of baseball players have either tried steroids and are still using them or quit. Plus look at what they do to your body. They build muscles. Barry Bonds - ( Home Run King ) I think his breakfast was steroids. That is just how steroids affect your body. They can also hurt you causing you to stop growing, affect your kidneys, and make your forehead pop out. If im an MLB player I dont want that. I say no to steroids even though they use them anyway. But I have to admit, more HR = more excitement.

  7. yes, because then everyone would be breaking each other's records almost every year/day but the records would be pointless because everyone's on steroids.

I wish we could put all players on steroids for one day so they can be like my favorite video game characters.

  8. i agree steroids dont make you hit the ball, they make you hit it farther, if you cant hit it just cus you take steroids you wont be able to hit.

  9. I'm glad to see most people answering this question correctly.

It always cracks me up when I see buffoons answer this question with "steroids don't make any difference."

Yes, all those people have risked their careers and reputation and HOF to take steroids because it was fun.

Steroids absolutely make you better. You take the chance of taking illegal drugs and you get caught, like some of the big names have, you suffer the consequences.

  10. it makes you stronger and hit the ball farther

  11. Well at one time they sure did, but lets face it. If a player is desperate to make a team, make a name for himself, he will make the foolish decision to use them. Along with the very high risk of destroying your body in time, not to mention spending alot of time on DL after you make a name for yourself and get a nice contract. I mean is THAT really worth it, being selfish and jeopardizing your health in the long run?

  12. They haven't done much good for the Yankees.
