I'm a street fighter and I make 5 thousand dollars or more in a fight. It all depends on who's betting but that amount is pretty typical.

As with anything, the answer will be based on your perception of "a lot".  Kimbo used to make approx.  10k per fight.  

In comparison Floyd Mayweather made 42 mil fighting De LaHoya.

I could certainly use 10k dropped off on my doorstep, but not at the risk of a no-rules back alley brawl.  Just my opinion though.
