  1. Time and place for everything.  Many teaching methods incorporate Group Work, so students can talk and communicate and solve a problem as a team.

On the job, whether you do well or not may depend how you socialize and get along with others, especially when you are low person on totem pole.

Practicing this in school is good, as well as giving teacher a break and observe how students interact, and set up their "pecking order."

In most groups a natural leader often emerges and a good teacher can use class leaders to help in lots of work too, often explaining assignments to slower students, or those not often vocal enough to ask right questions.

Overall, more talkative students are more interested and less apathetic, so YES they normally get good grades too.

  2. if you socialize with the right group, you can learn lots from them. the important informations that you get from them will help a lot in classroom situations

  3. On occasion, a little bit of socializing can give a student a little more balance in his/her life, and it may help them to focus on studying.  On the other hand, far more students carry the socializing to extremes, foregoing studying, and then it can only hurt.
