  1. No, the same way I don't think that parents should choose. At the end of the school year, the teachers all get together and decide who will go where. We base it on academics, boy/girl ratio and ethnic ratio. We try to make the classrooms as evenly proportioned as we can. parents don't understand the reason they can't choose their teacher. if a teacher is 'popular' they would get a full room while a less popular teacher would just get a few. just face it. You are not going to like all of your teachers.

  6. Good point on the lower levels. But in college we pick our classes, and they are sometimes based on the teachers. i went to a small high school, where there was only one teacher that taught a certain class. But in a large one it should be an option.

    With Elem school, it's tougher because it is based on facts, but the parents could possibly have some say in what teacher.
