Do students living in non-student accomodation get cheaper energy rates?

Im moving to salford to a privately rented flat and will be studying, am i eligible to get a cheaper price for energy, gas, electric etc.

    I'm a college student and I always think it might get me deals but it never does. Oh no wait, I don't get a monthly fee from my bank because I have the student account. Woo. I save $3.45 a month!


  2. Nope, the only benefit you get is not having to pay council tax but the energy companies will still shaft you good and hard like they do everyone else.

  5. Sorry mate only pensioners get the £240 heating allowance. Students get a part time job or student loan.
