Do sun conures and cocatials go good together?

i am getting a cocatial in about 2 weeks then about a mounth after im getting a sun conure im afraid that one of them may not like other birds or be social at all with them.

are they both babies or adults ? I have a sun and a cockatiel that are best friends. They preen each other and feed each other all the time. I got them both as babies but they were not raised together. My sun is really good with my other birds. She plays with my 4 cockatiels on a small play stand. She has her own cage, though as do the cockatiels. I guess it would depend on the bird. I got all my birds from the same place and they were all socialized very early with other birds.Just watch them and see.If you notice any type of aggression, separate them. Birds are like people; they all have their own personalities.Good luck to you.

It would be a really good idea to place those birds in separate cages. Cockatrices are one of the most territorial birds and will definitely want to pick a fight with the sun conure. Also, placing them together may cause your birds to receive new bad habits such as biting.

Sun conures are little brats!! Lol, its true. And he will most definetly pick on the cockatiel. Plus, cockatiels are very protective, and can be mean as h**l, so it would be one bad bird fight. I think in the end though, size would weigh out, and the conure would win. You probably don't want to see that outcome. Keep them apart.

Like everyone has said NEVER house the 2 together. Sun conures can be extremely cage territorial & are very nippy. They can be devils but so can cockatiels.

My sun & tiel are caged separately but occasionally share their stands when they're out. My cockatiel is a t**d. He can be nasty to my sun but he also sometimes likes her company.

My sun adores my tiel & likes his company so she is nice to him.

Def house them separately & slowly introduce them together. They may grow to love each others company or they may just learn to tolerate each other. Which ever happens only have them together supervised because the sun conure can do some terrible damage to tiels if something goes wrong & even if they end up being best mates never let them live together.

No these birds don't go great together.They should be in separate cages.Cockatiels are very terrartotial and when another type of bird is in the same cage as it,the prepare for some major fighting.The conure may also kill the cockatiel.

No.  You should not even consider caging them together.  A conure is larger and more aggressive.  Please read my profile.
