  1. in the winter they wear booties in the summer they wear nothing so usally they are barefoot but somepeople use booties all year round for rockie places and stuff

  2. If your gutter or ol skool, your barefoot. If your scared sumthin's gonna get into your toes, or you want extra grip you wear swimming shoes. it depends on the Surfer, I recommend Beginners to wear shoes. I personnal surf BareFoot. Reppin them Islan Waves to the Fullest Ohanaway.

  3. I live in the gulf of Mexico and the surfers i know don't wear anything on their feet.  In Surfer and Trans world surf (magazines) I have seen surfers who are in colder climates wear insulated type swim shoes.  personally i think it would hinder your performance cause you have something between you and the board, if your worried about traction  get some Mr. zogs s*x wax,  he has wax for every climate. and body boarding and its cheap.

  4. im sure they are barefooted

  5. Everyone is different from place to place. I hace seen a few people surf with shoes for grip I guess. But for the most part they are barefoot

  6. depends on how cold it is. in the summer i like to go bare but in the winter i put some booties on with the wetsuit

  7. If your board is a slidy fibreglass board i would suggest to use boots, or if you have a soft foam board you can surf without shoes

Remember:Wax the board to get grip while on a fibreglass board, I have a fibreglass board.

  8. Most surf barefoot, some do wear surf shoes though.

  9. you can buy surf boots for colder or rocky areas

    barefoot is prefered when possible

boots get in the way a bit i find
