  1. I am no where near a professional swimmer but have done aquatic aerobics with an instructor and can tell you for a fact you can sweat in water.

  2. Everyone sweats doing any physical activities. You just can't see their sweat because they're in the water and it's actually blending in with the pool water. Your body heat is conducted by colder pool water, you don't sweat as much as you would exercising out of water like a track runner.

Michael Phelps is amazing though, don't you agree? I don't know how he does it!

  3. Talking from experience as a swimmer (not professional) you DO sweat in the pool and you DO feel overheated after an intense race....... cold water or not........ Hope this helped....... PEACE!!!!!

  4. Competitive swimming pools are cold!!  If you don't believe me, just try one!  Yes, you might sweat, but it's not the same amount that you might doing the same amount of exercise.  You don't feel "hot" when you get out from swimming laps.
