Uhm like when you try to put a tampon in does it hurt?

I'm 14 and had my period since I was 12 and has never used a tampon.

Does it feel weird when you put them in? How does it feel?

  1. you dont feel a thing...they are sooo much better than pads

  2. Nope. I find them much better than pads. When you put it i makes sure your relaxed. Make sure it goes far enough inside so you can't feel it when your moving. If you get it wrong the first time don't worry and just try again with a new one.

    Good Luck x

  3. you really cant feel anything.. and it only hurts if you dont put it all the way up... it just takes practice..you will figure it out.. every girl goes through this.

  4. Maybe for the first time but just relax and dont tense your muscles!

    good luck!

  5. It will feel weird as you have not put anything in there before, and may break your hymen (thin layer of skin at the opening of your v****a). Breaking the hymen may hurt if it hasn't already been broken (lots of girls break theirs playing sports).

If you decide to try it, take a hand mirror and have a study of yourself so you know where you're going. Do it in your bedroom with lots of wet wipes, privacy, and at a time where you won't be disturbed. Give yourself lots of time to practice too.

Depending on what type of tampon you buy, follow the instructions and the diagram on the leaflet inside the box of tampons.

    Try the smallest size first.

Tampons are very worth it, good luck :)

  6. when i used a tampon the first time it was a little uncomfortable, but just follow the directions on the box and you should be fine.

i recommend using tampax, they also make a very small one for first time users

  7. It can be slightly if you're sore(gross I know srry)

It can also hurt slightly if you put them in wrong(obviously) but in general no, not if you follow the directions.

  8. well, i should not hurt unless you do it wrong. Many people make the mistake of not putting it in far enough or not angling it up. to put in a tampon, it is easiest to put one leg up on something, push the applicator in until your fingers are touching the outside of your v****a and push it in in a semi-upright angle. if it hurts after its in, put your finger in and push it up even more. also, at your age, you probably should start with a smaller sized tampon. If you try using a large one it will be very painful. you should try using them. their are a lot less of a hastle and pads are! hope this helps!

  9. it will hurt if u are still a virgin!

i didnt start using them until i lost my virginity.

one thing i will suggest u doing, if u do want to start using them, is get the tampons with the "plastic applicator" or like the "pearl" kind!

it might be a couple dollars more expensive, but its sooo much better, and it wont hurt at all!

the ones that at times do hurt when u put them in, is the cardboard applicator! sometimes it could hurt the sides of your v****a opening!

go with the plastic applicator! :)

  10. It doesn't hurt if you do it right.  When it's up there it feels like nothing.  I suggest useing them.  There easier to handle and cleaner.  Plus they don't feel like a diaper!  I hope I helped you! Good luck.
