  1. alright love tanning lotions work... the more moisturized your skin is when you go into the sun or tanning the faster your skin reacts to the uva/uvb rays... also the more moisture your skin has less damage...

  2. Yes, and for many reasons.

Tanning lotions work because they moisturize your skin, and moisturized skin is more receptive to tanning (dry skin just flakes off easier and takes your tan with it). They also contain ingredients that accelerate your tan and some have light bronzers that give you a little instant color. Mixing up tanning lotions is awesome because each one has its own advantages and by using different ones every time or every few times you get multiple advantages.

Tanning oils are more borderline. They get me more tan when I lay out in the sun, but you cannot use them in tanning beds because the mineral oil in them eats away at the tanning beds. That same mineral oil is said to age the skin and/or dry it out which makes your tan fade faster. I have not experienced either one of these results, just a nice dark tan.

  3. Yes they work well. I use banana boat spf 4 and it helps me get a dark tan!

  4. Okay where do I start..

I've got so many tanning oils, and they don't work the FIRST time you use them, you have to lay out in the sun each day for about a week. And i don't want to do that, because i get headches if i stay in the sun for too long. So i just use sunless tanners.. But last year i used 'Banana Boat Dark Tanning Oil" Just about 2 days (for about 25 minutes each day) and I got pretty deeep tan lines.

So i would say they do work if you choose the right ones & if you have patience and time out in the sun!

    Good Luck & Happy Tanning!
