Do tattoo's hurt to get done?

Question

When I'm older I might want to get a little one. What do they feel like when you get them done? Do they tickle? Do they feel sharp?

They hurt. It feels like someone taking a buzzing group of needles and scraping against your skin. Oh wait..

theres only a slight pain for the 1st minute then your body gets used to it an i have experienced no pain after having one either

it depends on your pain tolerance...I just got my first one last wednesday and i don't think it hurt at all...occasionally he'd hit a spot that felt sharp but it wasn't like excruciating pain or anything..its more annoying feeling than anything else. if you want the best feeling of what it feels like getting the tattoo think about those little cigerette lighter things they sell at the gas station that you hit the button and it shocks you..i think it felt like that. after it just feels like sunburn..but a pretty bad sunburn. mine is on my left boob so ocasionally it'd tickle or i'd get goosebumps or something lol. hope this helps.

Yes, it hust me when I had mine done. A big one on my back... I was on a high afterwards though, but then the next day flet like I was going to be sick with the pain! I was miserable and in so much pain...think my body was shocked or something.

Some tatoo places have a numbing cream they apply first. Wont help you the day after tho.

i have very large tribal tats and yeah they hurt like h**l, but its a bearable pain. kinda like really bad sunburn. i wouldnt say they tickel.

It differs for everyone..some people might have more fat in the area they are getting it which could reduce some pain...some people might have a higher pain tolerance...depending how small or big it is ..and how much detail..and depending where you get it too

i would say just be prepaired.

Yes they hurt.

The larger and more colorful, the more pain while getting them and then after you get one, they burn for at least 3 days.

Apparently it hurts as much as holding a hot hairdryer to your skin, but after a while your body releases adrenaline which numbs the pain a bit.

Yes they do.  It is not excruciating pain but it is uncomfortable.  Different places hurt more than others.

It depends on your own pain threshold....I have two kinda big ones, they didn't hurt that much...after the first ten minutes your mind kinda blocks the pain out and from then on it's more like an irritating pain then. I'm getting my third soon!!!

Yeah it does hurt, and th amount of pain really depends on where you get it done.

The feeling is quite irritating,its a mixture between being cut open with a knife, being burnt with a lighter, and electric shock in the area

Depends on where you get them.  If you get them on a bone (ankle, hip, etc.) they will hurt a little more than getting them on a fleshy area (arm, etc).  But either way, it all depends on your pain tolerance and what your attitude is going into it.

i just got one yesterday!!! and it did hurt but just a little it was behind my ear but the places where it should hurt more are feet and hands obviously the top parts... i just held tight it hurts a bit but u can handle it im quite sure i was just a tiny bit scared and my hands were sweating ALOT

It depends on your pain tolerance, for me, they sting a little bit, but they don't hurt, but it's definitely worth it when it's done, trust me.

yes they hurt it's painful! but if you want something there's alway's alittle pain.Just make sure to keep it clean and moisterized

Yes they really hurt they stick sharp things in you but i can't tell you what,  because I couldn't bare to watch when I had mine done. Don't get one you'll really regret it! Hope I helped! p.s love your name thing ! xx

Its like a continous stinging, but depending where you get it.

i have mine on Lower Right back and it hurt like h**l.
