  1. I agree with everyone who said it depends on the skill of the artist, but I will add one more thing to think about.......

Keep in mind, that when you are getting a tattoo with a lot of detail, its gonna need to be a bigger size.  I'll show you my tiger.....it would have looked bad if I got it smaller than it is.

  2. For the most part yes. but if you look at people's tattoo's they all naturally fade and loose color, but you can get it "restored" if you wanted.

  3. Depends on the skill of the artist.

  4. Not always.

If you have a skilled artist and you stay still (don't flinch, jump, etc) whilst getting it done, it's more likely to be a good job.

Check out some of the tattooists work and speak to people who've had work done through them before deciding. Try to stay as calm and relaxed as possible when your getting your ink done. It may be advisable to get any work done in a place that's easy to cover up as some employers don't like tattooed staff.

  5. If the artist is good, the final product will look better than it did on paper. It will have definition, shading, color, movement and flow with your body instead of just being the 1D of the paper. I got my third tattoo last week, the difference from paper to skin is amazing, in a good way. On the transfer paper, it looked pretty. Very delicate and the smooth lines worked the initials into the design so that they didn't just look added on. When he was working on it, there were at least 6 actual colors being used and some were blended together at that, creating other tones. The final product is gorgeous, perfect and far better than I ever expected it to be even from how brilliant the drawing was. So, if you find an artist with enough skill and practice to back that up, a tattoo will look better than it appears on paper.

  6. Yes and No.

    1. Depends on the artist.

    2. Depends on the area in which the tattoo is being applied.

    3. Depends on the difficulty and intricacy of the design.

  7. depends on the person doing it

  8. mine wasn't, i've got a 3-inch cross on the back of my neck which was pretty simple, so it can just depend...on how detailed it is, on where you go, if you're nervous and shaking...etc. what are you considering getting?
