they do but the fare has to be over $10.00 (it might have gone up now)

and while we on that subject some taxi drivers and/or companies

even take paypal as well

Taxi drivers in NYC have just recently started taking credit cards. However I would not try it because even though the cabbies are required to take credit cards, alot of cabbies have been uncooperative. Once cabbie even attacked a woman.

some do but how comfortable are you of having someone have your credit card numbers floating around? cabbies get jacked quite often

I live in Seattle and was told recently be a co-worker that most cabs take credit cards now days.  I would think they would have to with so few people carrying enough cash to cover the costs.

Yes. At least they do take credit cards in San Francisco .
