Do the 'last set of doors' remains closed when it is stated in the northern line trains?

  1. yer wat it is is the train is to big for the platform so it has to overshoot or undershoot sometimes so only a few doors stay closed on the last or first carriage but there is about one or two doors left open on tht same carriage.

    The Last set of doors will not open.

    Passengers near the last set of doors please move towards the rear doors to alight.

  3. Yes.  It depends on the length of the platform but is to prevent the last doors from opening in the tunnel.

  5. At some stations yes...Clapham for instance never opens the last set of doors..

  6. At Tottenham Cort Road & Charring Cross they do, but then if they did open you would find that you could not get out as the tunnel wall is directly in front of you and there is no platform!
