  1. The AFL knowing about damage control I think not the bad rule changes over the last few seasons show they have no idea, they have sanitised the game to such a standard it no longer resembles the game i followed as a child

As for Ben Cousins he is being made a scape goat for the ineptitude of the AFL for not doing something about drugs in the game before now.

  2. No, I don't thing their in control. I think the way they have been dictating to AFL clubs, soon someone for the west is going to sue them. Their policies that are in place are re drug use are soft. Fancy being tested and showing up positive and on the 3rd occasion being suspended. I believe 1 positive test and you should be suspended for 12 months. Sounds hard but these guys are role models for the kids. Did u know that 77 AFL players have tested positive to drugs, on 1 or 2 occasions. Ben Cousins has certainly been targeted by the AFL, and believe they will hand down penalties to him on Nov 19th. Whilst he never has tested positive to drugs, they have targeted him and set to make an example to other AFL players.

Its set to hot up soon. :)))

    take care

  3. I agree with Colin's response. AFL is not the game I grew up following as a mad keen supporter.

Too many changes. I always say ...."Why fix it, if it ain't broke?"

The AFL are scared to buck the players association (just like the Labor Party wont buck the militant unions) & introduce stricter, more enforceable drug rules.

The likes of Players Assoc. officials, Bell & Gale, stood up to the AFL re naming & shaming offending players & the AFL complied like little schoolboys.
