Do the American Embassy in Cairo give marriage permission now?

Since April 2007 the American Embassy in Egypt sop giving approval or permission for Americans to get marry with Egyptians, and it was a big problem for those who want to get marry and have the right marriage certificate.

Last month they said at the Embassy website that this problem is solved.

Plz Confirm if this true.
