Do the Angels have a weakness?

Seriously. They can hit, steal, play very good defense, they have an amazing closer, one of the best starting rotations.Plus they can get timely hits, like the ones that came last night in the 8th when they got 3 runs and ended up winning the game.I don't think I've seen any signs of weaknesses out of this team.Especially out of their starters, they are able to go deep into games. What do you think?Any weaknesses for this team?

  1. They honestly don't have any huge weaknesses.  It's like people who are non - Yankee fans who say the Yankees have horrible pitching.  But they don't.  Lately they've been having phenomenal pitching and Joe Girardi even said so after the game yesterday.

  2. no power is only weakness! however, thye CANNOIT WIN IN PLAYOFFS! AND ONCE MORE WILL LOSE IN FIRST ROUND! BYE, ANGELS!

  3. I have K-rod on my fantasy team, but he is very volatile,  he usually walks a few and gives up a hit, he is very erratic(but he gets the job done, unlike my teams closer (izzy)).  Their offense is finally starting to turn around but vlad and gary matthews jr are having a pretty bad offensive year, they could definitely use a bat at one of the corners and an upgrade on the bench

  4. Their only weakness is that they play too many close games. They need another bat in the lineup so they don't have to live on 2-run games or be limited to only 3-4 runs per game. Other than that, they got championship caliber pitching, defense, and speed.

  5. Their offense isn't a problem. why do they need another power hitter? they get hits when they need them and that has given them the best record in baseball. everybody that says they need a bat are depressed boston fans because they just got swept by the best f***ing team in baseball.

    Go Angels!

  6. i f they get into some close games in the playoffs, it could cost them.

  7. haha good question!

but like every team they do have a bit of a weakness...

I see them everyday almost and here's what i think about it

Offense is good for awhile but it can zap out quickly i mean if its gone its gone man and even though the pitchers do well the offense doesn't always pick them up. The way they get their runs is different, i think that's why a lot of people say that they can't hit or need a big bat. You don't get homers around here much.. but homers aren't really a BIG part of the angels style. More timely hitting, sac flies/bunt/stealing/squeeze plays etc etc

i remember only a couple games that they scored double digits.. so that can hurt the angels postseason or later on.. but you know they've always found a way.. any way to win games.

they've been doing really well lately, hopefully they can continue :)

  8. I would have to say team batting average overall.  They only have one guy batting over .300 and that's Howie Kendrick who hasn't played the majority of the season.

This is a team with Vladimir Guerrero, Garret Anderson, Torii Hunter, and Gary Matthews Jr. who has been a huge disappointment. All are batting between .235 and .280.

This would indicate a lot of streaking and slumping hitters.

  9. Can they beat the Red Sox in October?

  10. Really they don't have any glaring weakness

They can get better of course just like every team, but that's why they are so good they don't have one dominate problem.

  11. Can they really hit? I mean outside of Vladdy and Hunter, there really is no one that can even hit 20 homers. Maybe Garret Anderson. But that lineup really lacks the pop that most other AL teams has. But outside their lack of power, they are a great team.

  12. They lack consistent power hitting.  Frankly, I think they need a new batting coach.  I mean, they have the hitters - Guerrero, Anderson, Hunter, Matthews, Napoli and Kotchman can all homer!  Micky Hatcher needs change his approach or he needs to go.  This team, though, has always relied on "small-ball" and it's pitching.  As long as that's working for them, they are pretty unstoppable.  GO ANGELS!!

  13. Yes, playing on the West Coast, which ESPN doesn't know exists. They got a lot of coverage this weekend because they were playing ESPN's flagship team, the RedSox.

  14. Power Hitting.

Can it be sustain to take the AL Pennant and ultimately win the Win the World Series.

This is one of there big weaknesses they thought they would address bringing in Hunter. Somebody needs to step up.

    Jack

  15. They have a lot of older players on their team and later down the road this could lead to some problems.
