When they say "Please rise for the National Anthem of THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA."

And they raise the magnificent red white and blue and so harmonically play "Oh say can you see, by the Dawn's Early Light.." and the American athletes with tear drops in their eyes.

(I'm trying to be humorously arrogant if you can't tell). But it's funny to think how much bigger the moment would be for an American than some other country.

  1. I'm sure the British get just as teary eyed as we Americans do when we hear God save the queen.

  2. Hahahaha...that was very entertaining.

It definitely brightened my day here in the US.

As for the Queen...well...leave her be.  Parliament does more over there anyway, she's just an icon.

If I'm wrong, I apologize...I slept through the lecture on Great Britain and France in my Comparative Politics class...not because of boredom.  It was 8 in the morning and I am not a morning person.

  3. this question is dumb.

  4. No!

they might for the Britsh one but if you watch any event they don't for the American - just like an American wouldn't for the British anthem. But Brits arn't as patriotic so they don't cry as often anyway.
