  1. That is the problem. Forever promising and then not doing it.

  2. they are on pace for a 96 win season. yes, they look promising.

  3. I will say that as a baseball fan more than a Cub fan, that yes they have to be. They are having a great season so far and have the best record in the NL.

Their lineup is deep, as well as their pitching rotation. The moves that they have made prove that they are really trying to go for it this year. And this year is much different than 2003, or at least many hope so, but the feeling is different and their confidence has reached a new high.

  4. no

  5. no they havent won a ws since 1908

  6. Yes they do. They have a good blend of vets, youth, and mid range talent. It's a balanced team.

  7. The Cubs are a good but can they or will they advance in play offs is debatable & Zaidalaraj, the Cubs aren't  the greatest team ever , don't have the best record & how are they tied with Arizona, they are in different divisions & will the Cubs win World Series, don't know but have to just wait & find out.

  8. Like I've said from the beginning of the year, the Cubs are potentially the best team in the weak National League. They have a good rotation that Harden makes even better. Marmol heads a very decent bullpen, whom leads the League in Holds (22). Their offense is probably the most complete in the NL. Mainly, the Cubs have been promising throughout the first half of the year, and despite a recent slump, should once again show early season form.

  9. They looked promising in 2003 also!! It wasn't the fans fualt they lost. There still lost the other games! That was just one out of 3 games they lost!

  10. YUP!

    F*CK THE HATERS

  11. yes! the cubs r da best team ever! they r in first place tied wit D'Backs and they have the best record in baseball!!

they will win the world series

  12. Yes, the cubs look very promising to be successful in the playoffs this year

  13. Of course they do. They had more than 500 runs scored before the All-Star Break leading the entire league most of the time and was eclipsed by one other team just before the All-Star Break.

They have had the Best record in all of MLB most of the time during the middle of May through to the All-STAR break and traded this top honor with Tampa and Boston a few times, but, has had the best record in the NL during this entire time.

They got a steal of a deal in Jim Edmonds whom has has hit above .340 as CUB and has hit quite a few Home Runs lately and his production is up, and the Cubs only have to pay him a marginal low 200K salary while San Diego and St. Louis still have to pay for the big bucks of his contract.

The Cubs (despite losing 3 of last 4 games) still are in 1st in the NL Central and 1st in the NL period. They have not held this kind of longevity in many years and done this well for this long.

They have had key players on the DL yet have stayed in 1st Place. Others have stepped up to the plate, and, held the Cubs at the top.

They have the best HOME winning record in the NL and technically just barely ahead of BOSTON for the entire league and a few points ahead of Tampa Bay for best Home record in MLB.

They have set Home winning records, scoring records, and, set best Home winning streak records that have not been eclipsed from anywhere of 50 to 90 years.

They have a Rookie Catcher in Geovanny Soto that may get Rookie of the Year but, is by far the best Catcher in the Majors currently.

They made a heck of a deal getting Rich Harden, and Guidin to shore up their Starting Rotation.

They have one of the best Relief Corps and have a lot of depth and more Left Handed Pitchers than they usually do.

They have a deep bench Offensively, and, some of the best Hitting Pitchers in the Majors.

They have 5 solid sluggers and several excellent hitters. The lowest average for their starting Line-up is a .274 and as a team overall,.........counting all at bats this year, the Cubs are hitting .280

The Overall Team's OBP and Slugging % is .357 and .442 with a Overall Team OPS of .799 which includes all Pitchers batting stats as well.

Soriano is due to be back and play against the Marlins this week. Plus they have 110 HRs so far which is pretty respectable and have 518 Runs scored thus far.

They have a .984 Team Fielding % which is very respectable. And have turned 215 DPs in 98 games.

Their Team Pitching is a respectable 3.85 have held all their opponents collectively to a .246 Batting average. And have allowed 407 Runs or 4 runs a game to their opponents through 98 games while the CUBS have scored more than 5.25 runs a game average against their opponents.

They need to and have room to improve and yet saying this and the team is not at 100% power due to injuries,........can't be bad since as I reiterate;..........they have the best record in the NL and 2nd best in MLB.

  14. NOT YET!!

  15. Who has the best record in the NL?

    THAT'S RIGHT--THE CUBS.

Who has the best ballpark in the MLB?

    YUP. THE CUBS.

Who has the best fans in the world?

    YES, AGAIN, IT'S THE CUBS.
