  1. We are all African. Look it up on google i had to for a bio. project about a month ago or so.

  2. i think it does work...

  3. The real genetic analysis is done only in popular labs by the method of DNA finger print technology and you have to personally appear for a test and fresh tissue will be taken from the lower surface of your tounge. The ancenstry analysis is a rsearch work and I dont think it is commercialised for individuals. If there is any web site for doing that, it may be partly fraud.

  4. Today, it's more likely to be a scam.  But the biological basis is sound, and within a few decades may be capable of telling you as much information as is actually contained in your DNA.  An isolated population usually develops unique genetic markers.  But few populations are isolated now, so making such distinctions can be extremely difficult.  Not many people would undertake such a task without a really good reason.  A recent one was an attempt to show that the native population of North (and then South) America descended from an Arctic Russian tribe, travelling across an Alaskan land bridge.

Millions of dollars and years of work stand a chance of answering that question.  But that still wouldn't be enough to tell whether more of your ancestors came from France than from Germany, since there's probably not a significant genetic difference between those populations.  You could tell whether most of your ancestors were from Asia rather than Europe.  But then, you could probably tell the same thing just by looking at your facial features.
