Do the Democrats have anyone that has served their country slated to speak at their convention?

I imagine they have at least one token soldier, but I have yet to confirm this.

don't know if john kerry or chris dodds are going to speak or not

like one answerer said there are other ways to serve country

I have no idea.  What difference does it make?  That's certainly not my measure of a successful convention.  Besides, military service isn't the only valuable service one can perform for the country.

How about Iraq War vet Tammy Duckworth?  Do you think she meets your qualifications?  She was a helicopter pilot whose helo was hit by RPGs and she lost both legs among other awful injuries.  Do you think she served her country?  Check http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tammy_Duckw... for more about her service to our country!  I just wonder from the tenor of your question whether you think only McCain and GOP qualify for serving their country.  I didn't check out any of the other speakers but I think Major Tammy Duckworth certainly qualifies on anybody's list and she is scheduled to speak at the Democratic Convention.

I'm sure they will dig up some poor guy who's benefits were denied because he was home at the time. And he will become an "American Hero". Just watch......
