  1. A lot of societies eat horse meat it is nothing new. It is eaten in almost every country of the world.

  2. I live in France.

They do eat it, but only occasionally, and it's more the older people who do.

I've tried it, it's a bit like a cross between beef and ostriche.

    You should try it !

  3. Yes, it's sold at a Chevalier(e), and its tres cher (expensive).  As for the taste, it is a thick, hard to eat meat unless you cook it forever!  Horses are muscular, and it's like chewing on rope.  Trying les escargots (snails) or les grenouilles (frog legs) if you want exotic french cuisine...but please keeps horses for riding only!

  4. MEAT IS GOOD!  here is what I say when the waiter asks me how do I like it?

All you have to do is whip the *** and cut off the horns and put it on a plate! hahahah

  5. yeah thats why they smell fuuny

  6. Yes French people do eat horse meat. It's not very fashionable anymore but it is quite good. You would find some in a normal decent size supermarket.

Then I used to work in a slaughterhouse and I know for sure that it's quite rare an animal to kill!

  7. yea, they like it a lot i heard

  8. Yes, isn't that DISGUSTING! I wouldn't touch it, even if I was eating wit the president of The U.S. (or ne other place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

  9. Yes, I grew up in France. Now I'm stuck in NYC. My grandmother used to cook horse meat steak with garlic. It tastes very close to beef. Also in France, there used to be speciality meat stores, some would just sell just pork, some just beef, and there are stores that sell just horse meat. Today, however, to compete with all the supermarkets that cropped up in France, those specialty meat stores, now sell various types of meat. Also besides steak, you could buy cold cut horse meat sausauges. Quite delicious. Now, here's the irony. I like to bet on the ponies at Belmont race track in Queens or Acqueduct race track. Maybe there's a reason I like horse meat?
