I live in America, and I was looking at houses that are for sale. And while I was doing that I saw a house that was in the UK and I will admit that it did cost more than ours does, but the house looked very lovely and beautiful, at least the inside did and I only saw one room but it looked big and the price seemed reasonable to me. But maybe its just only me that thinks so. Whats your opinon about the houses?

  1. Yeah they are much more expensive in the UK. Bit annoying huh?

But the houses are often very beautiful, and that's what boosts the prices.

  2. In general, houses are smaller and much more expensive because there has been massive house inflation over the last few years.

The bubble has just burst so the prices are coming down, but the price differences are huge, depending on where you want to live.

The south of England is simply ridiculous - some of the tiny houses are worth more than the average big house in the States.

  3. as far as i am aware, the houses in the UK are more expensive and smaller than in the USA.

However i think that our wages are more than in the USA and our cost of living is higher.

I think in property value then you get more for your money in America.

  4. The houses are smaller & genrally cost a lot more. There is very little land to build houses on. Therefore the land is extremly expensive. You can actually build a 1 bedroom starter home for about £20000 but you can sell for near £200000 depending on what part of the country you live in. The credit crunch will have a big impact on houses prices.

  5. yes...cost allot more and if you want a big house like the ones over in america be prepared to give up every last penny you have....most houses here are tiinnnyyy..be warned :)
