That's their culture. They won't stop worshiping guns and kiling no matter what. Classes wouldn't change anything. They don't WANT to change.

That's the culture and I doubt that won't change anytime soon.  It's hard enough getting them to stop beating women.

Prior to reading the referenced article I just assumed it was a status quo thing... but now, I think you're right, firearm safety may move up on our list of Iraqi priorities.

Automobiles kill more people than guns.  When people stop using cars then they might have a say about others shooting weapons into the air.
