  1. As long as you have a diploma

And if you want to be an officer its like 2 years of college.

Other than that be in shape and no major felonys unless you get a waiver

  2. As long as you receive your high school diploma then you're fine :-)

  3. found this within 10 seconds.... Google is a WONDERFUL thing.

U.S. Marine Corps Opens Doors Wide for Homeschool Graduates

The U.S. Marine Corps has joined the U.S. Army in actively pursuing homeschooled students. A recent statement from the Marine Corps Recruiting Command Public Affairs Chief makes it clear that homeschoolers are eligible to enlist in all military programs, the same as a graduate from public school.

Furthermore, the Marine Corps has given homeschooled enlistees Tier I status in its internal ranking. This ensures that homeschoolers will receive any applicable enlistment bonuses.

Home School Legal Defense Association remains committed to ensuring that homeschoolers are fully able to enlist in any military program, and salutes the United States Marine Corps for recognizing the achievements of homeschooled graduates.

Details are outlined in the following news release from the Marines.

  4. IF you have a heart beat...they will accept you

  5. You need either a HS diploma or a GED..

If you have either of those two it does not matter how you received it..

  6. Much to Marine despair, the Marines are the only force that does not even require a diploma. Home school is fine with your diploma.

  7. Your parents should contact the local school district.  In Colorado, homeschoolers can provide documentation to the school district, and if they have completed all the same courses required to graduate and have documentation, they can graduate with the local high school class and receive a diploma. You definitely should arrange to have a diploma...for many reasons.  many homeschoolers also go on to college and need that high school diploma.  As to the Marines...call the recruiters office and ask...but i believe they would require you to have a diploma.
