  1. well to me it looks like its just for show, but since it's also a "skin" i guess it can also protect the area its covering from scratches and stuff.


  2. to a certain extend yes, but most of the time its to personalize ur NDS.  the surface of NDS is durable enough, unless you are extremely rough with it.
