Question:

Do the Pittsburgh Steelers have a chance at being the top NFL offense this year

The team that for years has been known for defense looks like a highpowered offense too

They are stacked at all the skill positions on offense

their 2nd string alone could be a good offense

if the O-line can be halfway decent they can be the juggernaut offense this year - Cowher is gone so not gonna be running every down now

  1. naw not wit da pats colts cowboys bengals n saints out there i think not

  2. They will they had the best draft ever are offence recieved a kick *** RB and an amazing QB/WR kinda like Antwan Randel El. so are trick plays will come back and are running game should be fine so pittsburghs got the top offence and defence as long as the patriots dont CHEAT!

  3. Probably not. Their focus is on ball control and field position. Letting their defense help them win. They will never out score high octane offenses but will win more and go farther.

  4. "immediately broke the team record"?

Took a few games to do that I think.

I would hold off on any predictions of record setting offense this season.

Hines Ward is getting old and injury prone.

Holmes is coming on strong, and they have a great TE.

But they would be stupid not to take advantage of Parker and Mendenhall's running abilities.

If Big Ben gets hurt, Charlie Batch just broke his collar bone.

The offense will be good and respectable, but they will not be the "top" offense in the league by any means.

  5. Don't listen to the idiots that don't believe in the Steelers Offense, I guess they forgot that we were responsible for Randle El, Plex Burress, and Hines Ward!!!

The Offense WILL be a Top 5 juggernaut..

    1. Our schedule is brutal so it will be mandatory that we put up points and yardage.  Necessity makes us capable of doing some special things on offense.

    2. Big Ben is the 3rd best Quarterback in the League...After a Super Bowl, Pro Bowl, High Career Rating, Game Rating, and multiple Perfect Games. It's not debatable.

    3. Hines Ward-- Injury Prone??? How many games did Hines miss?  Was he available in the most crucial games? of course, becase Hines is the insurance policy of this air attack.

    4. Holmes, and Sweed-- those are our convertible Mustangs ready to take on the road and burn everything in the way...  Young and showing a lot of upside.

    5. Nate Washington, Heath Miller--  Nate washington isn't a number 2 WR, but if he is the 4th WR matched up against a 3rd string scrub or Safety, you are begging for a mismatch!!!  Heath Miller is the most under rated TIght End in the league, becasue we don't use him enough. But if you watch his gameplay, you would understand!

    6.  Parker and Mendenhall--  similar to MJD and Fred Taylor.. LT and Mike Turner...the running game is going to be a problem for any defense out there.

    7.  Offensive Line had an injection of youth last year that needed to be molded, this year they are BIGGER STRONGER and FASTER..

    Chris Kemouateou, Willie Colon

  6. Not if the Pats, Colts, Chargers, and Cowboys have anything to say about it.

  7. With New England and Indy in the league, they dont stand a snowballs chance in h**l. Dallas and San Diego and Cleveland are also better. It aint happening.

  8. COWHER  You realize he wasnt even their coach last year?

and they have about 0 chance of being the top offense. They will have a productive offense around top 10. They lost a probowl guard that WILL hut. Id say just in their division the Browns offense is better.

  9. I wouldn't say "THE" top offense, but it has a decent chance at being top 10, maybe even top 5 (barring injuries and the O-Line getting its collective act together) with Willie coming back from the broken leg, and the additions of Rashard Mendenhall and Limas Sweed. Pittsburgh's offense is definitely something to watch out for.

    Cheers!

  10. No. Maybe top defense.

  11. IF the o-line can play halfway decent, but they won't, so no.

  12. of course they do! but the Dolphins have the same chances as them!!!
