Do the Quran and Sunnah anywhere praise Arabs?

No Arabic which is the greatest language on earth but the Arabs themselves- some Arabs have expressed disbelief at the Quran saying in Chapter 9: 97

The Bedouin Arabs are more hard in disbelief and hypocrisy, and more likely to be ignorant of the limits which Allah hath revealed unto His messenger. And Allah is Knower, Wise. (9:97)

So are there any pro-Arab statements ?

  1. A'raab does not mean Arab. The least a person can do is learn Arabic before making claims about the Qur'aan. The Prophet salallaahu alihi wa salam was 'Arab. The one who claimed he's "Hijaazi" then what do you think a Hijaazi is? Do you know where the Hijaaz is? It's in Arabia. The Quraysh were 'Arab, and the Prophet salallaahu alihi wa salam was from Banu Haashim, a Qurayshee tribe.

Verse 97 of Surah at-Tawbah says:

Allaah doesn't say العرب, He says الأعراب this is a proof of your lies and distortion. The A'raab are the Bedouins, and this verse is specific to a group of them and not Bedouins in general.

The correct translation of this verse is:

((The bedouins are the worst in disbelief and hypocrisy, and more likely to be in ignorance of the limits (Allah's Commandments and His Legal Laws, etc.) which Allah has revealed to His Messenger. And Allah is All-Knower, All-Wise.))

Let's look at what Ibn Mandhoor said in the monumental compilation of the Arabic Masaadir, Leesaan al 'Arab:

Look at the definition of A'raabi:

    Ibn Mandhoor mentions:

So how is it possible for A'raab to be 'Arab??

Yes the Prophet salallaahu alihi wa salam praised the 'Arab.

In the Hadeeth اللهم بارك لنا في شامنا until the end of the Hadeeth. And when he said Eemaan comes from Yemen and the likes of these ahaadeeth.

  2. the Qur'an praised the master of Arabs (pbuh), and Allah (swt) honored the Arabs making the holy Qur'an in their language, the Ayat you refer to was for a certain arab group.

  3. what  are you trying to prove????

being a Muslim it make no difference weather Arab or non-Arab!!!

  4. Ha Mim Al-Sajdah Chapter 41 : Verse 45

And if We had made it a Qur'an in a foreign tongue, they, surely, would have said, 'Why have not its verses been made clear? What! a foreign tongue and an Arab Prophet?' Say, 'It is a guidance and a healing for those who believe.' But as to those who believe not, there is a deafness in their ears and to them it is blindness. They are, as it were, being called from a far-off place.

As you can see, the greatest man who ever lived was an Arab.  This verse is a retort to those who find fault with an Arab Prophet.  Allah is saying that we should not care that he is Arab as that makes no difference.  Those who do care have deafness in their ears and are blind.

love for all, hatred for none

  5. the Prophet is Arabic you know that right?

so i can take many Ayats that say good things on Arabs !

    stop it Shia guy

learn the Tafsir of this ayat it's for event and for specific people

read ayat before it and after it !

anyway in Islam there is no race or nation better than other you can find bad arabs and not Muslim arabs like Jews Shias Christians  and you can find Muslim Arabs

    the same with every race

  6. they only praisen muslim arabs

  7. nope

"All mankind is from Adam and Eve, an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a white has no superiority over a black, nor a black has any superiority over a white- except by piety and good action."

The Last Sermon of the Prophet

  8. s**+'ism is Not Islam

Be a Muslim- Do you accuse Rasoolallah (saww) which he is not..

ARAB is non Muslim term. Rasoolallah (saww) is Hejazi- I am Hejazi. HE WAS NEVER AN ARAB.

Arabs are mentioned bad in Quran.

Quran 49:14] The Arabs said, "We are Mu'mens (believers)." Say, "You have not believed; what you should say is, `We are Muslims (submitters),' until belief is established in your hearts." If you obey GOD and His messenger, He will not put any of your works to waste. GOD is Forgiver, Most Merciful.

    I still Wonder

  9. No there are no pro-Arab statements in the Qur'an because at the time most of the Arabs were very far from God. Check out the history of Mohammed. It does shine some light.

  10. the QURAN and Sunnah praise true believers not races

    SALAM
